tough ? installed a 410 rearend out of a 2000 camaro over the summer ,and had trouble after a few weeks with wot 3rd gear shifts so I had the tranny rebuilt and same issue didnt want to shift into 3rd at wot, so I swapped back in my 273 rear and it shifts fine now ,so why the shift issue with the 410,s,and yes I programed it 4 the 410,s.and the speedo worked fine.

sometimes its a bit more complicated than just setting the speedo right. With the 4.10 gears the rate of rpm increase is much faster. Therefore you need to allow more time from comanded shift to actual shift. For instance with the 273 you might set the shift to occcur at a certain speed and mph and from cmand to actual might take 300 rpm with the 410 it might take 600 or more rpm to make the same shift. Since the actual time it takes to make the shift from command to actual is a constant in time the rate of rpm rise with the two differentials will be different and you have to compensate for that with the shift point settings.
