Default Where to mount B&M trans cooler w/ fan on F body?

Working on a single turbo 99 Trans Am with a TH400 conversion.

No room up front for the cooler. We have a killer B&M cooler with the spal fan attached.

There is room to put it behind the diff off the heat shield below the gas tank. I can put it there pancake style, but not sure if this is the best...and if I do, should the fan be on top or bottom.

There would be limited room between the tank and cooler.

need ideas quick!

If it's just a drag car under the back is fine.On the street it won't be as good as the front of the car.

You think it should mount with the fan on the top or bottom...and how much space you think is needed between it and the shield for the gas tank?

There is simply no room up front for this unit. The intercooler, cooler pipes, relocated radiator, and pop up headlights eat up all the space.

Depends on your fan rotation, but fans typically 'pull' air thru the heat exchanger construction.

I agree - but I don't know if we want to pull the air up and blow it off the fuel tank shield, or pull it around the full tank shield and blow it on the ground.
