Default 4L60e Question

So, I'm getting my 3600ss installed within the next couple of days. I called the shop told them what I wanted done, and they recommended that I let them put in a new bushing and seal for the front pump. I guess it has something to do with what the torque converter sits on? I don't really understand what he is saying on account of I know little about transmissions. Anyways, did any of you guys do this when you put in your torque converters?

I wouldnt mess with it in my opinion if its not broke dont fix it. I would pm Frank at PerformaBuilt or get ahold of FLT and ask them.

I always replace the front seal every-time I drop the trans. Its cheap and prevents you from having to pull the trans later down the road for a worn out $10 seal.

Alright, well I've already got the rear main seal. The price goes from $340 for install without the stuff they are recommending to $520 with this bushing and front pump seal.

Front seal is simple, to do the bushing you likely have to pull the pump out of the front of the trans. However, overall this seems like a good investment.
