Default Dexron VI?

I need to change my Trans Fluid on my 4L65E Transmission but i am curios to know if the Dexron VI is a synthetic Trans fluid...any of you Transmission experts can you Please chime in.

i thought that the DEX 6 was syn......why else does it cost 6+ bucks a quart???? and it does not hurt to use where DEX 3 is called for

I am sure it is because the better quality base stock crude used to make it is a lot more expensive for them to purchase. Just a guess...
The GM bottle or Dex 6 does not say synthetic anywhere on it,their synthetic fluids normally do. I am not stating for a fact that it is not synthetic just going off of what I can see.

If you want synthetic Dex 6 lots of aftermarket companies make it. Mobil,Kendall,etc...
