Default What's involved/changed during a transmission tune??

I just recently completed a 4L60E swap to replace the TH400 behind my H/C/I LQ4. I put a trans tune file that I found on HP Tuner Repository on my existing tune file.

I am trying to figure out what exactly will be changed from a factory 4L60E to a built stage 3 or 4 4L60E tune. I feel like mine is running a little hot compared to the TH400 tranny. Any help would be great!

Yes, the stall is a 10" Transmission Specialties 4000rpm Lockup converter. I previously had a non lockup 4400 stall vigilante behind the TH400. I'll take a look at what my tranny's settings are at.

The TH400 used to run 150-180 degrees and the 4L60E is running 180-220ish. I have my sending unit for the gauge in the test port on the 4L60E so I know its reading 10-20 degrees hotter. I had it in the same spot on the TH400.

My gauge moves down pretty quick when the tcc locks. It also runs hotter the longer it runs unlocked like city driving.
Thats good to know. I didnt really think about the lockup adding heat. Maybe thats my temperature difference!!
