Recently had transmission rebuilt. The valve body in there isnt my original as they said something wouldnt work. SO, they put an similiar. I came home and a couple days later noticed it was leaking, the pan. So, I went and got a new gasket, pulled off the pan, and low and behold, different body, wires hanging etc etc. Shifts fine, but its not the point.
If you can help in telling me where to look on the valve body to figure out what year is in there, let me know. I have some pics.

I guess I was more or less trying to figure out what "casting number" or part number to potetnitally buy one. Mine has three switches up front, as you can see in my ATSG manual, but transmission parts stores want numbers.
Mine is YCM coded transmission case in figure 24 valve body type 23

Went ahead and put it back together.
Did pressure test.
Park idle 80, WOT 220
R idle 100
1-4 idle 80
1-4 WOT 220.

i know they changed from 83-86 , 86-88, and 89-93....the biggest diff is the aux valve body if i remember......you can tell right away if you have that.........do you know where your old VB went?
