Default out going cooler line

Anybody running a t-fitting in the outgoing line from the trans to cooler for a temp gauge sending unit? I know the pan seems to the best spot, but until I drop the pan I wanna get some temp readings. Is that a bad spot?

This is a suitable location. I have used the brass t fittings from home depot with my coolant temp sending unit and it has worked great.

Thanks. My gauge came with a t-fitting. The only i thing is my female barb fitting had to be wrenched on after 2 turns. Hope that is ok

^^I can partly agree there, however, my temp sender worked fine with no ground. I added one in for piece of mind but it functioned before without it.

My sender is going to screw into the T. It has a connector on top, I don't think it needs a ground? I can always run a ground wire from the sender also. I'm more concerned with the the barb female fitting that I had to wrench on after two turns on the t-fitting. I'm going to splice it into the rubber hose going to the cooler.
Thanks Panchp

The metal that the sender is screwed into is supposed to be grounded. Thats what he means. He means take a piece of wire and solder it to the outside casing of the t fitting and run it back to a metal panel and connect it. That way your t fitting is grounded.
