How much play in a 4L60E Tailshaft?

Does not leak, seal looks fine but the tail shaft has lots of play left to right, up and down. Im thinking that's not supposed to be happening?

So if the output shaft can rotate a little and "clunk" at the end of the play.... that's not normal right? Mine is doing that :/
