ok, looking at two converters in the 4k stall range
both cost around the same and have the same 2.1 str
PTC and PI Vigilante
which will get me lower .60's and work better on my combo:
4.10's
shift kit
ms4
ls6 intake
full exhaust
150 wet shot
thanks guys

i suggest a custom spec'd ptc. thats what i have for my car but its not in yet. It was pretty cheap but i hate to say how much because i got it from a friend who is sponsored by ptc (andy mayes, nmca xtreme street). hes been a 8.16@169 on a non billet ptc converter. We also have a s10 that runs with us that goes 5.60's in the 8th on a standard, non billet ptc converter

Is this for a 4l60e? Also man just spend the money and buy a new coverter. I have had several buddies buy a used converter and over half of them have lost their tranns. because the stall fell apart. If I was you and I went that route I would cost to see how much it would be to send the stall in to have it freshened. IT NOT WORTH BLOWING YOUR TRANS UP. then you have to buy and new tranny and new stall. Just trying to help you out.
