Will the car weight affect how much power a tranny will hold? ok i am putting a stock 4l80e in my car. I have heard that they will hold up to 500hp reliably. but my car weighs in at 2600lbs. Now will the tranny hold more power since the car is lighter? also i heard i need to switch up the shift points or something like that but how do i change them up will i just be able to reprogram the ecu or do i need something else? thanks
