What length is needed to mount the th400 in a 3 gen f-body? Either 3ft or 5ft?

i used a stock cable for my swap (4l80E) and I think its a 3 feet. Im sure if you get the 5 feet you would not hurt anything since you will have some slack. I would have liked it to be a little longer but still did not have any problems.
