Buying a Yank Converter: SS3600 or SS4000 in a light car
Hey guys, I am finally ready to bite the bullet on a new high stall torque converter. I am going with Yank because of the countless units we've sold here at CalSpeed & Performance and as such I get a pretty decent dealer price.
Anyway, the car specs are in my sig (mild cam, 3.90 gears, 26" tires, etc), it runs 12.2 all day at 115-117 mph with shitty 1.9-2.0 60 ft times.
I would normally go with a SS3600 if this was a Camaro, etc, but my Z only weighs 3000 with my fat *** and wondered if I should go with the SS4000 instead of the SS3600.
Here's the thing, the car is my daily driver atm and don't want to totally kill my street manners either having to really give alot of throttle to get the car to move off stoplights during regular driving.
So, what do you think guys? SS3600 or SS4000.
Thanks!!
