Default shift kit and line pressure

what are your opinions/stories with a shift kit on an automatic?

also, do or do we not raise transmission line pressure on the autos?

Shift kits work a lot better if you know how to install them, some people complain about not being able to follow the instructions.

Stock line pressure with a .500 boost valve out of a transgo kit will hold good clutches.
The clutches are stressed the most during shifts, if the shifts aren't right you can increase only the upshift pressure.

To get the trans to work properly with a shift kit you need to know what sizes to drill holes in the seperator plate. After you're done if it doesn't shift right you need to take it apart and correct it before the clutches get glazed or burned up.

With a 4L60E and 700 you need to know what to do to get the 2-3 shift timing right. The band release vs 3-4 apply.

When the trans is all done it can be fine tuned by tuning the upshift pressure modifiers.
Set the desired shift time to zero, get rid of torque management.
Thats about it, no one takes advice anyway because so and so mail order tuner/guesser said this and that.
