Default New tranny

Well, it's coming about time the navy gives me that long awaited bonus. I currently have an '02 4L60e that's coming very close to it's end of life. My questions are these:

1. New transmission rated to hold at least 600 rwhp. Who should I go through? Does anyone do military deals? Upgrade to 6L80? (A 6 speed auto would be nice)
I'm currently looking at extreme automatics for a 4l65, lg motorsports for their G2 race tranny, and I have yet to call Finish line transmissions about which one of their builds will be right for me.

2. I want to get a torque converter to go with the new tranny. This is a street/strip car, leaning more towards street at the moment. I'm thinking a 3200. What brands have y'all had the most success with? What else should I be looking at aside from rpm rating in a stall?
I'm currently looking at either Yank or Vigilante for a stall.

3. How much money should I set aside for the miscellaneous parts associated with install? (I.e. cooler, nut, bolts, etc.)

Thank you in advance for your input. I would say $4k is the most I want to spend.

Default Imo

I dont race my car, and ive never had one. but if i was in your postion I'd look into a 4l80e, if you wanted to keep the auto. You can get one used around 7-800 bucks.

For his power level there really isn't any reason to go through all that hassle.

Get a 3600 stall at least. I'd suggest FTI for the converter
