Default please help 4l60e

i just bought a 99 trans am and i was changing the trans fluid pulled the pan and i noticed something connected to the valve body it says on it RTI ross-lock rl4l6007. anyone have any ideas on what this is???

thanks vince i decided to drop the trans too and realized it was an rpm transmission!!!! talk about bonus

i pulled the trans because i got the car for a good deal being the motor has a knock so i am going to rebuild the motor and i was draining all of the fluid before i pulled everything out

Gotcha! I was scratching my head when you pulled the trans. From your first post I figured you were just doing a service. It makes more sense now. Good luck with the new car and I hope you get it back up and running asap! Vince
