Best 4L60e info source?
So ive never really taken the time to full understand how and why my 4l60 does what it does and Id really like to. Is there a book on the market or a good site which goes pretty in depth to the working of this particular transmission?

Im looking more an actual explanation of what every part does and why it does it than a disassembly manual.

I personally think that the GM hydramatic book is the best book I have read for this type of info. They make these books for all transmissions used in their cars and they are great books. Vince

I agree with Vince, but the only true way to learn is from experience. Rebuild a few or work at a shop that does. Then you can voice your opinion with confidence.
