Default help me decide th400 or 80e

i know the 80e is gonna cost more so i might not be able to afford it in the end. but ill explain what is going on with my car and throw out some opinions for me.

my car gets driven 3k miles or so a year, with gas prices this year and my new setup lol who knows maybe less, i do want to drive the car on the street but i dont plan to take the express way very often, with out a monster cam like last year it should be more daily friendly.

my car is a 408 stroker single turbo close to 850whp, stall im going for around 3400 rpms and my 9 inch has 3.50 gears currently, i do race on the street when out in mexico

i just want to know a trans will last when i take it to the strip and hit the trans brake because im building this car to beat the **** out of it, not just cruise it.

seems everywhere arond me i can get a 400 with brake good to 1khp for around a grand i have a aftermarket driveshaft already ill just have to lengthen it and get a flexplate, crossmember and should be good.

can i modify my stock shifter and shifter cable to shift the 400, i want it to look stock?

a good built th400 seems like it would be the way to go for you, esp since you run 3.50 gears. im pretty sure you can modify the stock shifter to work.

$1K for a transbraked TH400 is cheap. That would be a$ 1500 unit from us and although I may not be the cheapest I believe we are very competitive. We also don't cut corners.

I would want to know the build list at that price.
