Default 3 converter bolts - enough for 1000HP with transbrake?

I'm installing 4L80E behind my turboed LS1 with 1000HP planned power. Unfortunately I got converter that only uses 3 holes on my CSR flexplate. Is that enough for 1000HP with transbraked 4L80?

I would think the 6 lug converters would be a better choice.

Well,,,,every turbo 350 and turbo400 and powerglide use 3 bolts to hold the converters on, SO Three is fine, There are cars making insane power and running three bolt converters. Just be sure you have a SFI flexplate, but you got the CSR one so your good.

Sounds logical It's either 3 bolts on CSR aluminium SFI plate, or 6 bolts on stock GM plate, so if everybody run big power on 3 bolts, I'll choose CSR

I had a talk today with Chris from circle D and he told me that the CSR is not a drop in piece, he said it does require some kind of spacer,,EVEN WHEN USING A 4l60 trans and converter. Just to share what I learned,, Personally I am going to go with the HUGHES it has a wieght of6.58 lbs, iTs sfi rated, stamped steel, and about 160.00 and is a direct drop in flexplate, no spacer worries or anything like that. Look em up on Circle ds website. As to where the CSR is about 5.5 lbs and 300$. If you have not bought one yet here it is

When I researched about flexplates recently, I thought Hughes steel plate is much more than 6.6lbs. IF it were only 6.6, I would buy it instead of CSR.
I don't see why CSR needs a spacer... I'll check engagement with starter teeth once again but can't see any problems

I got those weights directly from Chris, he said he would be putting a write up on flexplates here pretty soon. He was saying that the spacer has something to do with the converter, not the starter, just sharing wha I learned.

That would be a real fail for me, cause I read on flexplates for a couple of weeks and didn't know Hughes is so lightweight while being cheap and SFI
