Default Will a 93-97 4l60 work in my 98

My trans in my 98 Z28 is toasted, i found a couple of 4l60's on CL that are in 93-97 (LT1's). Will one of those work in my 98?

The valvebody is different in 95 and earlier. So if it is out of a 96 or 97 it should. I would beware of used 4l60's though you might be swapping in something worse than yours or one that is about to go itself. If your broke you should rebuild your own.

No, the LT1 transmissions won't work behind an LS1. The bellhousing dept is different along with the input, input drum and pump.
