Default Installing 700r4 and yank converter

I am installing a 700r4 trans and converter in a 98 firebird, just wondering if there was any special shimming required for the converter??

I used 1/16th washers. Are you installing a trans cooler to? Use fuel injection hose clamps! They work great.

Need to make sure the converter pilot is engaging in the crank. The normal LT style 700R4 pilot is to short. Also check bolt pattern on the flexplate. You need an extender or special converter. But normal converter spacing should be good, .125".

There is a special flex plate, a spacer and a vacuum switch required from what I've seen.
