Default dowel pin from hell

Any tips on separating the trans from the engine? I've got all the bolts out but the driver side dowel pin just doesn't want to let go for the life of me.

A little prying in between the case and the engine, some wiggling and it should let go, Dont be scared to pull it to the side and push back, itll come loose. Make sure you are ready for it.

Make sure you take all the bolts out of the bellhousing, I can't tell you how many times I have had people forget to pull the bellhousing bolt at 12 o'clock and they try to pry and pry with no success. You should have 8 bolts total removed from the bellhousing and once that is done you can use a big screwdriver or a pry bar to pry side to side to get to break free.
