Default What's the thread size of the 2 Female ends sticking out of the side of the trans?

The trans is a 4l60e and the hard lines are all jacked up.. I need a quick fix until I purchase my braided line summit kit.. So what I will be doing is removing the lines leaving the 2 inlet/outlet female ends open.. I'm going to try and find a male end fitting with a hose barb on the other end and just attach a hose to it until I get the kit.. I need to kno what size. Fitting should I get to screw into those 2 female ends.. Any help is appreciated..

AND PLEASE LEAVE ALL NEGITIVE COMMENTS 2 YOURSELF

Its a 1/4 NPS which is a straight thread. A 1/4 NPT (pipe thread) which is tapered will wedge itself in and likely seal with some teflon tape but be careful....the triangle shape of the pipe threads going into a straight threaded hole can crack the trans case. Lots of people do that but I wouldn't do it on my trans. I'm pretty sure Dorman makes new fittings for the trans, available at local auto parts stores.

I will be leaving those fittings in the trans case for now.. Once I get the kit I will remove them and swap them out with the dorman fittings or ebay 1s I seen.. But as of now I'll just be running flexible rubber trans lines from the 2existing fittings to the radiator replacing the old steel lines..

You can buy brass 1/4 NPT to 3/8 hose barb at Home Depot. That will allow you to run the rubber line.
