4L60E Whine inbetween gear shifts 04 Silverado 5.3 2wd 4l60e. My truck makes a terrible whine noise at startup, when i shift into drive or reverse, and inbetween shifts. I don't notice any shift concerns, only noise. The noise seems to go away after the trans has reached operating temp. I didnt notice the noise prior until the weather has gotten colder. I verified the proper amount of oil. I have had my truck on a hoist and verified the noise was coming from the front of trans. I removed the pan for inspection. Looks like i have some gold particles in the the fluid. PLEASE HELP ME!!!
