Trying to decide on what stall speed for a c5 vette
I have a buddies auto c5 vette that we are doing some work on. We are putting a z06 diff in it and some TSP LT's with off road x-pipe. I am going to be putting a converter in it later down the road and it will be getting heads and cam for sure.
I am trying to decide what stall speed to put in there for him. He likes to have good drivability but I want to make sure I have a big enough stall for him. I was thinking about throwing a 3200 in there for the drivability part but I keep coming back to a 36-3800 maybe 4000 because I have a cam that cam out of my old ls1 that is 230/240 .617/.608 lsa 111 that he is thinking about getting from me and that might not work too well with a 3200.
I've driven a 3800 stall and I don't mind it but trying to convince him, who has never had a stalled car before, is a little hard. I keep telling him a stall is not going to make it undriveable.
