Default What are the best 4l60e rebuild kits?

My PTC converter took a **** a few weeks ago and took my trans down with it. I'm looking for a solid rebuild kit without being too pricey. My car isn't making a ton of power so i'm not looking for any kits higher than probably 500whp capabilities. What are some of the most popular/durable street/strip kits available?

Dana provides a good product and service to the DIY'er but there is no big name builder that is going to use him for parts. A "big name" builder is also going to have a fairly big parts volume every year, into the 100,000s of dollars easily.

That's right Jake. Dana and I have shared technical information on the 60 series transmissions and other units over the years. In fact, I've built transmissions for clients who purchased parts from him but realized they were over their head or their builder realized he was over his once those parts came in from Dana.

He's a good guy for sure, but like you say... no reputable shop is going to be buying their parts from him when they share the very same industry resources. That's why I asked my original question.
