shifting issue built 4l60e
Hey I got a buddy with a 4l60e thats been built, It shifts real firm from 1 to 2nd, but second to third it wants to over rev then shift mainly only when you manually shift it, otherwise if you leave it in drive and shift itself it seems to shift fine!
Just wondering what the problem could be, Ive looked at it for him but caint figure it out!

Sorry, I don't understand; that sentence is too confusing.
Is it over-reving between shifts when it is in [D]rive, or when you manually shift it?
Please explain in more detail.

it does it when you manually shift it, in between the 2-3 shift, I think he is going to have his tuner pull about 3mph or so off the 2-3 shift, thinking thats the problem....

ive worked on a few camaros that did the same thing just keep it in drive. the electronics get confused when your manually shifting. even if the tuner turns it down it will still over-rev. manually shifting a auto car isnt really good for it.
