Default Auto meter cobalt gauge not working properly

Yesterday I drove the car for about 45 mintues in 85+ temp. Gauge didn't go pass 105.

Wondering what the issue could be. I'm thinking maybe the sending unit.

Any one have any other ideas.. ??

Have not Had a chance to look at it yet..
