Default what year 4l60e?

I have a 1995 lt1 the trans is bad Im looking for a used one, in doing so Im hearing that only a 95 year will work is this true and are there any options to get one and have the electronics still plug in. thanks

also are 4l60e trans out of a 2 wheel drive blazer the same as camaro lt1 of the same year

Save yourself headache and have it rebuilt...95 is the odd ball year...you might get a newer one to work but a few changes need to be made...

This is not entirely true. Although for the most part it is the same trans, there are some small internal differences and in most cases the input shaft is different. 290mm vs 300mm. You will be better off building the trans you have. 1995 is an off year, first year of PWM, so it uses a different wiring harness and spacer plate than any of the other years.

ok I can get a 95 trans out of a 4.3blazer for 200, it works great. will this work for the mean time til I deciede what Im going to do with the car?
