how do you tell if the torque converter is slipping??
i was driving my car around town today and it felt like the converter is slipping?
first we dynoed it a week ago and it flatlined hp at 4500 rpm but pulls hard *** hell on the street. ( at 10.5 psi) all the way to 7200 rpm
so today i got to drive it for the real first time sence the tune. so i started to want more boost so i hit 15 psi. and then i wanted to see what 18 psi felt like so i did and it only put down 12 psi and flutering up and down a psi.
what would have caused it to do 12 psi instead of 18 psi????
i got on it again wiith the 15 psi setting and it worked good.
then i noticed a couple times it felt like it was slipping when i got on it at only 10.5 psi????

torque converter by definition slips!?
Unless you are talking about the lock up? Its designed to lock and unlock based on various VSS triggers etc.
You could log TIS and TOS to see any slip in the lockup clutch.
