will a 4l60e with a 3600 stall work and shift right with a untuned PCM?

Default will a 4l60e with a 3600 stall work and shift right with a untuned PCM?

im about to put a stall in my 4l60 and ive heard it wont shift right if its not tuned,the computer will think it slipping? any info?

i was just wondering if it was gna be atleast driveable till i can get the extra money for a tune

Yes, it will be driveable but it may throw codes and go into limp mode.

what exactly is limp mode? are there any plug in tuners to use to help this out?

Limp mode means you'll throw a check engine code (powertrain- Shift solenoid A-B stuck open, IIRC), and you'll lose first and overdrive. The convertor may not lock up in limp mode, either.
