selecting a 4l80e
Anyone running a Hughes 4l80e and converter? Was debating between Jake's, Rossler, and Hughes. You can get a Hughes good up to 1000hp for $2500 thats $1000 less than jakes and $1500 less than Rossler. I am running a supercharged 408ci estimated 750-900 rwhp. Any imput?

I doubt anybody is able to build a same build 4L80E for less than we do.
Give us a call and we'll go over the units with you and answer any questions you have. I deal with Hughes often and sell them parts. They are a very good company with a well deserved reputation. Rossler is as well.
I would put you in a Stage 3 most likely. $3250 and $3750 respectively depending on what year core we use. No additional core charge.

Like Jake said, we do a LOT of business with Hughes, and we're on very friendly terms with them, but it is an apples to oranges comparison. Just because both companies are offering a 4L80E that is advertised to hold that kind of power and everything looks the same on the outside, it does NOT mean they are the same on the inside. Hughes builds an excellent product, but you are definitely getting more for the money with our Stage III
