Flexplate PN search and ?s
Hey all this is the last part needed to complete my El Camino build
The setup is a 99 LS1 on a T400
Going to go with a hughes GM25 converter and their adapter, they recommended their own flex plate but I'm too broke for that at the moment and dont need SFI till next season for shortcourse.
I read somewhere there was a GM flexplate (I think it was a 6 hole off a 4L60e trans, just cant find the post now to verify Part numbers and I think all that was needed is the Hub adapter. Can anyone verify this.
it appears the hughes unit has "spacers" formed into it.
Any reason a good fabricator couldn't weld spacers on a stock flexplate?
and does anyone know the appropriate spacing needed to work right?
Thanks a lot. This beast is almost ready for battle!
