I have a 5.3 from a 2001 chevy pickup I put a turbo 350 behind it and was told I needed a flex plate checked out the cost and thought there has to be a cheaper way I took the flywheel from the 5.3 and put it up to the tc from (the tranny was out of a 85 chevy van) and the bolt holes were about a quarter of an inch off the tc was bigger so I drilled the fly wheel out and put it all together and 5000 miles later still perfect so I just wanted to tell everyone what I experienced and good luck to all
