Default 4l60e shifting options?

Hi I recently bought a 4l60e for my s10 project. I have a 98 s10 2.2 5speed manual. I removed engine and trans. I bought a 5.3 vortec from a 01 Silverado. I also found a good deal on a 4l60e. It looks like its electric shift? There is no cable. I want to install a floor shifter. What do I need to buy? Any help is much appreciated!

B&M makes various floor shifters that will work with a 4L60E. Others do too. Is there something very specific you want or are asking about?

Will I need a ratchet shifter? I just don't understand how it will work.

A rachet shifter limits up and down shift to one click per motion. E.g. you cannot move from [D4] to [D2] in one shot, thereby reducing the chance of an overrev.
They cost more, confuse drivers not used to them, but are preferred by those who track race a lot. B&M and others make more stock-like floor shifters too.

OK. Thanks! I'll try to find a basic cable floor shifter, or a lokar.
