Street car Stall Speed opinions needed!
Looking to see what everyone is running on the street for a stall? Looking for cars that are at or around 450-600 RWHP opinions. I don't want to under stall or over stall the car but want decent drivability as well. I have been looking and reading about this for a while now and before I order want to see what everyone else says.
I have spoke with Circle D, PTC, and TCI all given different opinions from 3000 to 4200.
Thanks Fellas

At that weight and with a 3 speed it will NOt react like a lock-up style convertor in a 4l60e. 3-3500k in that application or anything higher she will be screaming all the time depending on tires height and Gears.

Yeah, didn't have that info at the time.
Your setup is extremely close to mine except mine weighs 1000lbs more and is overdrive. The engine really seems like it wants a 4000 stall, but I like the drivability of the 3600.
You might have to sacrifice even more due to the transmission choice.

Yeah without a lock up or overdrive transmission, you will want to keep the converter on the tight side. Our SS with the 408 made just shy of 540rwp. We ran both the Circle D Specialties 4C and 5C but we also had a 4L60E so we were able to lock it up on the freeway. I think the Circle D Specialties 4C will work really well with your set up depending on the rear gears you have. 3.73s would be a good happy medium if you are running at least a 26" tall rear tire.
