Did a trans service, put the car in reverse and it rolled 5 feet and stopped. Pulled it apart and found this gem, any ideas why this happened? Mods are a circle d 3600, hd2, and had a rebuild a while back.

Ouch! I have seen pics of the drum cracking at the outer edge like that, but never coming apart completely.

What all was done during the service? Any issues before the service?

I believe the direct drum is stressed the most in reverse. Too much pressure maybe?
