Default p0756 help

Looking for some direction with throwing a p0756. While driving on the highway my car started pegging the rev limiter at about 60 mph. I got off the gas. Ended up getting off the highway and getting home, but I couldn't go over about 20-25 mph without it just revving up and not really gaining any speed. Seemed like it bucked a little around those mph just before I got it back. 1st gear seems fine. I read the code is a "Shift Solenoid 'B' Performance or Stuck Off" I did some searching on here and read it could be the solenoid or possibly the 3-4 clutch bands. She has about 118k miles on her, largely highway. My question is this a sign the tranny is pretty much done or is it really just a matter of swapping the solenoid? Any experience with it would be appreciated.

I grabbed the solenoid, going to try swapping that tomorrow. If anyone can chime in, I will be updating tomorrow.

I'm sorry that no one replied earlier - replacing the solenoid seemed like a no-brainer.
While the trans doesn't sound very hopeful to me, I would certainly first replace the solenoid and keep my fingers crossed.

I swapped shift solenoid B. The old one's coils seemed to be freyed. I thought, excellent that must be the issue. I seem to have 2nd gear back. 1 and 2 seem to work perfectly fine, but after that I have nothing. Just rev's up when trying to go to 3rd. Then seems to buck back into 2nd if I feather that gas a little, then it holds 2nd, but will downshift back to 1st if I slow. Now im pretty much lost. The p0756 code is clear and no codes came up after driving for about 20 mins.

No problem about the no replies, I wasn't able to find too many people with the same issue.

do you have a stall, if so has the trans been tuned for the stall?

Stock stall. I have been reading no 3 or 4 is an issue with the stock 4l60e. Read about it more on some corvette forums. I read if you pull the transmission harness it should force it into 3rd to confirm if you actually have 3rd still and it's an issue shifting from 2-3 or if 3rd is gone. Going to try that after work today.
