Default Safe to drive on highway w/ unlocked converter?

Might be a dumb question, but is it safe to drive with the converter unlocked on the highway? I'm having issues getting my TC to lock but I need the truck since it's my DD. My commute includes about 10 miles of highway driving at 65mph. Its a 2500-2700 RPM stall multi-disk with about 10 miles on it now.

Thanks.

as long as it's not trying to lock and just slipping the lock up clutch or anything like that it won't hurt anything but your fuel mileage and might run a little warmer

Cool thanks. It's not even trying to lock, even if I manually try to lock it through EFILive it won't, but I can hear a very faint click with the engine off. It's not nearly as loud as the shift solenoids though. I may try to hardwire the TCC solenoid to a switch to rule out a tune/wiring issue.

And I have a big 40K cooler, it hangs around 130-140 around town.
