Default what stall do you guys recommend for my primary street car

i have a 96 z28 with a 383 stroker lt4 built on the torque side..(dirt track racing builder that builds tq motors)
built 4l60 355 geared s60

my trans has to come out to get to the rear of my block and fix a front trans seal so i figure it might be a good time to up the anti some it has a 2800-3200 stall in it now but i dont think it was a high end one to begin with so i would like something that performs a lil better

I went with a PTC 3600. I would go with a 4000 if I could do it over again. But 3600 is plenty for the street IMO.

you can get a one size fits all, or offer all your specs and get a custom one
at least know your cam specs picking a universal one

Exactly. Given that you said your engine was built as a "torquer", I think anything over 3200 will be too far past your torque curve.

Good call. If you want the most for your money, go custom. Off the shelf? SS3600 IMO

im really feeling the 3400-3600 max spot....im pretty sure the one in it now is a 2800 area cant remember at this point but it was built for a stock engine to and i know it was only in the 500 range at the tranny builder 10 years ago so im sure it isnt an absolute great one in there.....its a 383 lt4 spec'd motor with a c/grind 236/242cam/worked 195 afr heads....it will have a full tubular chassis/suspension and the s60 so i just want this thing to be a solid fun car
now to try to just figure best price on either it looks like a yank or circle d and what level would be best for me

If you know yours is stalling 2800-3000 with your current motor, just have it loosened 400-600 rpm.

really depends on your gearing, tire setup and what trans you have. i have a th400 with 3600 stall. with 29 inch tall tires on 373 gears and im fine with it. but i like a little more race then car.

Hmm to answer that one... 355 gearing/4l60/25" street 28" drag

And I don't see a real cost effective approach at having a questionable and most likely cheap tc restalled at this point compared to purchasing a new one that is built properly with good materials
