Default trans acted like it went into neutral, help!

finally got my car together and running yesterday, I was out driving today and I noticed the trans. kicked out of overdrive then it quickly seemed like I lost 3rd I think, A few seconds later i had nothing, like it was in neutral. I coasted to a stop shut the car off and took a quick look. fluid was fine, no leaks, not overheating. I started the car back up (maybe 5 min. later) and it was totally fine. went thru all the gears, locked up in overdrive, good as new. Anyone have any ideas? its a 4l80e in a 2000 TA stock computer

The trans should go into reverse and 3rd gear even if the electrical connector is not hooked up, I hate to be the one to tell you this but it is time for a rebuild.

The trans will heat up and start slipping and when you stop it will cool off and start working for a little while and then start slipping again.

I Shut It Off For Less Than 30 Seconds Then It Drives Again. Something With The Pump Go Bad?
