4L60E shifting issues
The trans shifts too hard when driving normal, but when you go WOT it really hangs in each gear before shifting. Any ideas on why? It's a mail order tune. Stock LQ4 with a 2005 Escalade ECM DBW. As far as I know the trans is stock, just the turn changed. Thanks

Sorry, trying not to be a a-hole, bu the answer seems obvious - have the tuner soften the shifts. If it was working OK before the tune and is not nor right, it must be the tune.
Mail-order tunes are often oriented towards higher stall converters which make shifts softer.
I don't understand what you mean by "really hangs in each gear before shifting".

No offence at all. I never had the truck before the tune so I don't know if it did it before. What I mean by "hangs" is when you know it should shift it doesn't. It's like a slush-o-matic shift when you're WOT. I need to order HP tuners or EFI live and see what's going on.

OK, now I understand. If you are going to order tuning software, that is great. Also order a trans pressure gauge ($45 on ebay) which will help you see what the tune changes are really doing.
If the tuning software is in the distant future, you should take the truck to a local (not chain) trans shop and have them connect their scanner and pressure guage to determine what is going on. If you do that, post their results and comments here before committing to any major expense; we will try to give you guidance.
