Default Question on filling 4l60e.

I had my tranny flushed on my 2002 Camaro and 2003 Silverado 1500. When I checked the fluid after it was fully hot exactly how the owners book says too it was really low on the dip stick ,barley on it. I added 0.6 qts and that brought it way up to about 3/16 over the max fill line so a little fluid made a big differance. It can't be over filled by more then 1/4 qt so can this hurt the tranny? How much under and over will the 4l60e be comfortable with. Thank you for any help!!!!

Sometimes you have to wait a little while to check it after you put the tranny fluid in. The fluid is on the dipstick tube and gives a reading of a lot more fluid than what it should be reading. After it sits for a little while the fluid will run down the tube and then you can read a correct measurement.
