Default LS1 to th350 or powerglide

I've been working on a ls swap into my impala. Got everything together and the 4l60 trans went out before I could drive the car out the yard. I have the original power glide from the car and would like to put it in for now. Can anyone provide me with a parts list of what i will need for the swap. I've searched and found info about the ati flexplates "ATI-915733" but I'm not sure if I will need to change torque converter or not. Any help would be appreciated and part numbers would be very helpful.

I'm right there with ya dude. I'm doing a 6.0 LQ4 swap into an 81' malibu 2dr. and will be using a TH400. Yr is a 1978 on trans with short tailshaft. I already know I'll need crossmember but like you I'm not sure on hook up between eng and trans as far as flexplate, spacing, torque converter etc... I'll be following this to see what info pops up. Thanks----Ken

We can do a custom converter with a billet front cover to bolt to your existing ls or 4l80 flex plate and stab into the th400 or pg. This eliminates any need for spacers, adapters, and expensive flex plates. Very simple.

Well I know I'm gonna need a small stall speed converter(2400-2600),but I'm not into spending a grand on a custom converter if I can piece it together for much less. What kinda money are we talking??? Thanks

Price on a billet non lockup unit is $750-800 depending on diameter.
