tranny clinking

tranny clinking in a 93 2dr blazer/tahoe with an auto and its a 4x4 it makes a clinkin sound when u take off but really quite and the other gears are like neutral so u dont go know where.. i know this isnt a camaro but u guys seem to know more than most other websites so i thought id give yall a try on this..would it be the transfer case?
