Default should the new converter spin both ways?

I have a brand new 4t65eHD and precision of new hampton converter I just dropped into my GP GXP ls4 powered car, we put the converter in last night and something struck me as odd, the converter spins both ways. Just wanted to verify that this was normal with no axles in and it being in park. I would have thought that the one way sprag on the stator would have stopped it from spinning backwards.

Yes that's normal. Just make sure it's all of the way in.

Even though the stator has sprag in it, the stator itself just rides on bearings. This would mean the stator cold be stationary and the rest of the converter would be free to spin both ways.
