C5 Vette Stall Converter/gearing choice
Had a old Fuddle 3600 in my LS1 Camaro and I was looking for more. I was talking to a trans guy the other day about going w/ a 4000 and either 342's or 373's in the C5 and he told me he advises his customers no higher then 3800 on the street. The car will have no to very little track time. What do you guys think? I dont want to go to low then regret it after spending $800 bucks on a verter.

What gears are in a C5 ?
"Had a old Fuddle 3600 in my LS1 Camaro and I was looking for more." Same applies to the C5. You'll want more.
4000s' from Yank and/or CircleD are very streetable. Get their opinions.
I've got a Yank SS3600 and the Yank SS4000 would have been good too.

the guy recommending no higher than a 3800 is he a vette specialist or is that his advice in general ? Physics wont change because its in a vette higher stall of good quality should provide more bang for the buck than lesser stall of good quality unless there is something with the chassis that is an issue , I dont have any c5 knowledge regarding stalls so if it were me I would look to what the c5 guys that "over achieve" use for stalls.

where he sprays he likes a tighter convertor. I cant wait to see what you run with a 4k stall and 373's , with your other listed mods and being lighter than an f body definitely should be well into the 11's , I remember some of your posts with your f body you know how to get a car down the track , go when da is good etc... it will be very quick
