Default Atlantic coast converter review

This review make take a long time to complete. It looks like I won't get to the track until next season.
David and jen at Atlantic coast converters have been super helpful and extremely nice. David spent about 30 mins on the phone with me making sure he knew what I wanted in a converter and explained exactly how converters work.

And here are the specs

The converter is a 9.5 inch 245mm billet cover, billet lock up clutch unit. The pump and turbine are furnace brazed and tig welded with silicon bronze rod. There is a Large anti ballooning plate on the pump with a high stall stator with a large aftermarket spring and roller sprag. You have a 3800-4000 stall converter. The sprag, stator and converter are rated at 1000 horsepower.

All this for $100+ less than the big name company's. One of the main reasons I choose Atlantic coast converters

Here's a pic of the converter on the bench before assembly. I thought it was cool they emailed me that. I can't wait to get it installed and to the track.

My car is a 01 full weight z28 with an ls6 swap and full bolt ons.

You may want to verify with them that those are NOT the exact parts going into your converter. That is an LT 4l60 transmission specialties kit. You would need the LS style in your 2001 Z28. The bolt pattern, input shaft, and overall height will all be issues unless for whatever reason you have an LT transmission swapped into your car.

Thanks for noticing that Brian. He said that the pic was of a converter with the sane internals as mine but when I had asked for the exact specs of the inside of my converter he had already shipped mine. But mine is for an ls engine

Parts look pretty standard for what goes in converters with sourced parts. I'm sure youll be happy with yours.
