Default 06 LQ4 to 2000 f body 4l60e

I have a 2006 lq4 and the f body 4l60 does bolt up just fine to the flex plate (04 5.3 flex plate). However there is a gap and the flex plate bolts pull the torque converter out to compensate. The gap looks like around 1/4 inch between the TC and FP, give or take. Do I need to use the LQ4 spacer to take up the gap? I have one sitting in the garage. What do you think?

No spacer required no mods required bolt it all together and call it a day Lq4 is exact same as a LS1 spacer is only required on a 4L80E
