Default Converter slip, or another issue? looking for opinions ( vid inside )

Yesterday i went to the track and did 3 motor pulls which went great.

After that i was ready to do my first nitrous pull.
The car launched hard on the first nitrous pass but towards the end of the track is where the issue came. It felt and sounded like it hit the rev limiter and i ran out of gear, so i let out of the run and coasted to a 9.9 120mph.

i looked to make sure the limiter was set properly and went for another run.

2nd nitrous pass the car launched harder and went faster but same issue. i looked down at the tach when i heard it hit the limiter and say the tach reading around 6600-6800. i let out and got back in and let out.

The following video is of the second pass:
if you listen closely at the end of the pass you can hear it.

i have a th400 with a pro torque 4k stall converter.
running a 3:90 gear on a 28" tire

i called the vendor today and they want me to do a transbrake test to see what it revs up to and then call them back with the info. ill do that and get back with them. they seemed to think there might be something else involved but i wanted to see opinions, thanks in advance for the input!
