Default Full size truck and 4l60e

Okay, I now own 2 vehicles with an ls and a 4l60e. I have my z28 and I now own a lifted 99 Silverado z71 with an lm7

I'm concerned because I want to run a 35 in tire and the truck has 3.73s. I know the 60e is weak in a lighter 2wd car so I could imagine even stock this truck is straining the trans. What can I do aside from regearing the rear and front diff to keep this trans alive with the load of 35s 4wd and the 3.73s?

First get the biggest cooler possible and even put a fan directly on it. Then I would just do what you want and let her work. It may last a lot longer than you think especially without a lot of power going through it.

I've noticed with my 31s I have now it never really gets anywhere close to what my car does according to the obd data.

My car will hit around 165 on my drive home from work (roughly a half hour) the truck doesn't even hit 145. How accurate is the obd data that the torque app is displaying to me?

That's what my temp was when I arrived at my house. I let the truck warm up for 5 mins before I left work, so around 08:07 is when I departed.

When I first read "My car will hit around 165" I was thinking MPH or at least kmH and wanted to know where "NEPA" is for such fun. Oh well

The temperature sensor in the trans is usually quite accurate. Since it is reasonable to assume the Torque App reads the correct PID from the computer, the displayed temp should be accurate too. 145 is reasonable for easy driving in cool weather with lots of air flow.

Thanks for the info about the sensors! I guess I'll toss the 35s on and just monitor the temp and decide if I'll need a better cooler from there.
